This is a specialty listing for a solid walnut rack to house the Pioneer Spec-1 Preamp and Spec-2 Amplifier. Each rack-mountable component can be housed in separate 4U racks, but this combo rack is 9U tall by 18" deep, with a matching wood vented spacer in the middle slot, allowing you to mount the amp on bottom and still take advantage of ventilation through the front spacer.
It's built from the same premium grade solid walnut lumber as our other racks. We use only solid wood for the strength, beauty, and variation of natural wood grain that you just can't get with veneers. While the base unit is 9U tall, you can select more space for other equipment or future expansion.
This unit's design adds mind-bending mitered corners to our cabinet lineup. Since all corners are mitered, we can use a single, continuous plank for both sides and the top surfaces, creating a waterfall effect. If you like continuous wood grain and the deep brown tone of walnut, this one might be for you. Also available in hickory, maple, quartersawn white oak, and cherry.

• constructed from 3/4" solid lumber
• all sides are joined with a 45 degree miter, making the seam almost disappear
• front and top edges are eased to about 1/8" radius
• bottom is fitted with non-marring rubber feet, but can be omitted (add personalization note) or upgraded to adjustable levelers (see link below).
• rack rails are recessed 1/2" from the front edge of the cabinet sides, and spaced 1/8" from the top and bottom

Our multi-stage finishing process uses all natural products (known as zero-VOC), highlighting the rich, dark color that makes walnut wood so popular for furniture building.
