If you know, you know...the pinnacle of hi-fi equipment design and production was realized in the receivers, amps, tuners, and tape decks built in the 1970s, including fine walnut-veneered cabinets offered with some models from manufacturers such as Marantz and Pioneer. Unfortunately, very few units were sold with the optional wood cabinets, and even fewer have survived as long or as well as the equipment. When these survivors are offered for sale, they fetch premium prices, and most still need restoration work.
This case is made of solid walnut, with mitered corners, recessed front edge for the 4100's faceplate, and ample ventilation via 1/4" wide slots in the top and an open bottom. We use only solid wood for the strength, beauty, and variation of natural wood grain that you just can't get with veneers.

If you don't see the setup size you need in the drop-downs above, send me a message with your request and I'll do what I can to accommodate you. Ask about availability of other types of wood.
