• our mantels are custom-made to your selected specifications, using only the finest solid lumber
• the center of the mantel is left hollow, to reduce weight and cost, and to preserve our natural supply of hardwoods.
• all sides are joined with a 45 degree miter, making the seam almost disappear
• all edges are eased to about 1/8" radius
F I N I S H I N G ∙ P R O C E S S
• hand rubbed with an all natural Danish oil, or an oil-based stain
• top coat is a linseed oil and bees wax finish, buffed to a satin finish
• enhances the grain and natural dark pigment
M O U N T I N G
• our standard mount is a French cleat, included with your order
• the mount consists of two wooden rails, one embedded in the mantel, and a matching rail that is attached to the wall/masonry
